style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(a fragment from the memory of someone who may never have been there, but always longed to go)<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>On my way between errands and forgetfulness, I stumbled upon a city that wasn\u2019t on any map.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It had no addresses, no towers, no offices. There were no doors through which one could enter.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And yet, right there at a nameless stop, the bus paused for a moment \u2013 and I stepped off, as if something had called me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first thing I saw was a man balancing the world with the soles of his feet \u2013 carefully, as if trying to persuade gravity not to lose its meaning. Beside him, another was spinning planets on an invisible axis: the discs glowed and sang, as if playing the melody of the solar wind. It was puzzling, but not senseless.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vce-col vce-col--md-auto vce-col--xs-1 vce-col--xs-last vce-col--xs-first vce-col--sm-last vce-col--sm-first vce-col--md-last vce-col--lg-last vce-col--xl-last\" id=\"el-40d9c01c\"><div class=\"vce-col-inner\" data-vce-do-apply=\"border margin background  el-40d9c01c\"><div class=\"vce-col-content\" data-vce-element-content=\"true\" data-vce-do-apply=\"padding el-40d9c01c\"><div class=\"vce-text-block\"><div class=\"vce-text-block-wrapper vce\" id=\"el-b054eac6\" data-vce-do-apply=\"all el-b054eac6\"><p>I noticed others: someone juggling balls that returned to his hands like they had travelled from a distant planet, another climbing a ladder with no end, leaning against the sky, and one walking on a tightrope stretched above the pavement \u2013 as if walking the line between life and vanishing. Below him, two friends signalled with gestures to guide his steps, so he wouldn\u2019t fall into the abyss or into forgetting.<\/p>\n<p>They didn\u2019t speak \u2013 they communicated with movement, with flowers, with soap bubbles, ropes, knives, with dance. Every gesture was a word, every glance a voice. They all cooperated \u2013 no one was playing. They took risks, but they didn\u2019t fall. And if anyone lost their balance, they caught him gently in silence.<\/p>\n<p>When I came closer, they looked at me, just for a moment. As if to say: \"You could be one of us too. If you can walk the fine line that separates light from shadow. There were no doors through which one could enter.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And yet, right there at a nameless stop, the bus paused for a moment \u2013 and I stepped off, as if something had called me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first thing I saw was a man balancing the world with the soles of his feet \u2013 carefully, as if trying to persuade gravity not to lose its meaning.
