ORGANIC JUGGLING MEETS DANCE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Three days of dance and juggling with Stefan Sing<\/strong> and Cristiana Casadio<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This workshop will explore the intrinsic connection between throwing objects and body movement, combining the Organic Juggling techniques of Stefan Sing with the choreographic and rhythmic qualities of contemporary dance, taught by Cristiana Casadio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting the day with training sections in contemporary dance and juggling technique, students will develop a movement repertoire both with and without objects. Later in the day these practices will come together into solo and partnering work focused on developing each student\u2019s natural expressive understanding and how this can enhance the presence of others on stage. There is a possibility of a short public presentation at the end of the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This workshop explores the intersection of contemporary dance and circus as part of the Laboratory\u2013Intersections (Laboratorij\u2013Sti\u010di\u0161\u010da) program,<\/em> organized by Bufeto Institute and Dance Theatre Ljubljana.<\/strong> It is designed for dancers seeking to enrich their movement vocabulary with object manipulation and circus practices & jugglers looking to expand their physical expression. We also offer opportunities for further collaboration, including training, support for developing original productions, and the chance to present at Klovnbuf 2027 and UKREP 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FEE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To ensure accessibility, participation is free of charge. However, a voluntary contribution of 50\u2013150 \u20ac is welcome.
The amount of the contribution does not affect selection.

ABOUT THE MENTORS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

STEFAN SING is a master of contemporary juggling, who has been developing his unique\nstyle since 1985. Exploring the boundaries, Stefan is on the edge between\njuggling, dance and theatre - always searching for the wordless language inherent\nin juggling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After completing his studies in Philosophy and German Literature,\nStefan studied Performance and Dance at ICAT Berlin and from 2009-2017\ndirected the Katakomben, Center for Performing Arts - a training and performance\nspace in the heart of Berlin<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beside his artistic work - Tangram (2011), <\/em>(2011), Entrop\u00eda,<\/em> (2017), DODAI, <\/em>(2020), An alphabet,<\/em> (2021), Why not maybe perhaps (<\/em>2022),Superorganism<\/em> (2023) and Cosmo-Cosmetics<\/em>Stefan gives workshops at circus-\nuniversities internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CRISTIANA CASADIO, after a professional rhythmic gymnastics career, Cristiana continued the study of\nballet and contemporary dance. She was selected to join as a trainee the\nAterballetto Company, directed by Mauro Bigonzetti and received several\nscholarships (eg. at \u201cMerce Cunninghum Studio\u201d ,\u201dPeridance Center\u201d, in New\nYork,..).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She joined Botega Dance Company (IT), J.K.Tyl Theater Pilsen (CZ) and , for\nnine years, Balletto dell\u2019Esperia (Turin,IT) dancing principal roles. She danced\npieces by Enzo Celli, Michele Pogliani, Bronislav Rosnos, Alena Peskova, Libor\nVacul\u00eck, Inmacolada Rubio, Herv\u00e8 Costa, Eugenio Scigliano, Laura Corradi, Paolo\nMohovich, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2010 Cristiana has been based in Berlin, taking part in different productions\nand projects, as a dancer and a choreographer - among others, she joined the\nBerliner Ensemble, dancing in the piece \u201cMenschen, Orte und Dinge\u201d-\nand presenting her own works in international theatres and festivals. Menschen, Orte und Dinge<\/em>, ter svoje avtorske projekte predstavlja v mednarodnih gledali\u0161\u010dih in na festivalih.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her last solo piece \u201cnowhere\u201d, currently touring, has been funded by the\nDachverband Tanz Deutschland and the Senate department for culture.
